Experience the magic of Prague's holiday season as the Christmas Markets come to life!
From December 2nd, 2023, to January 6th, 2024, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day, you can immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere.
The heart of the festivities beats at the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, both within a leisurely 5-minute stroll of one another. Visit between 10:00 and 22:00 to savor the delights, and remember, admission is absolutely free.
Moreover, Prague Castle plays host to a grand Christmas market right in front of St. George's Basilica. It's open daily from December 2nd, 2023, to January 6th, 2024.
Operating hours are from 09:00 to 18:00/19:00, and there's no cost to enter.
For a cozier experience, explore smaller Christmas markets at Republic Square (Náměstí Republiky) starting from November 25th, on Kampa Island in the Lesser Town, and at Havel's Market.
Also, venture a bit further to Peace Square (Náměstí Míru), just outside the city center. While primarily for locals (though all are welcome), this charming market is a 15-minute walk from the top of Wenceslas Square and runs from November 20th to December 24th, 2023.
Operating hours here are from 10:00 to 19:00, and like the others, there's no charge for entry.
